Resort Location
Thredbo is located about 35km from Jindabyne along the Alpine Way towards Khancoban. Thredbo Valley Resort is located within the Kosciuszko National Park so an entry fee is required which can be bought per day or an annual pass for frequent visitors. Snow chains are required to be carried by all 2 wheel drive cars, 4 wheel drives cars are exempt however it is recommended for all cars to carry chains.
Parking & Transport
Thredbo offers large designated day and overnight car parks. Many accommodation houses have on-site parking but for those that don't offer it, overnight parking is available at Friday Flat. There is a free shuttle bus that operates throughout Thredbo at regular intervals from 7.30am – 9pm (midnight on Friday and Saturday nights).
