Getting to Smiggin Holes

Whatever your preference in getting to the Snowy Mountains, Ski 'n Save Snow Holidays are happy to help you find the best possible way for you and your group to help take the hassle out of organising a holiday! The NSW Snowfields are easy to get to with direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Canberra. From there, you can either hire a car or catch a coach transfer to the snow.

Snow Chains: It is a requirement that all vehicles except 4WDs carry properly fitting chains at all times on the road to Smiggin Holes and Perisher Valley. These can be hired at most service stations on your way to Jindabyne or we can organize them for you from our Jindabyne Hire Partner.

Kosciuszko National Park entry: You will be required to pay an entry fee for the National Park (Smiggin Holes and Perisher Valley lie inside the National Park) if you are proceeding into the village, whether you are parking overnight or for the day only. Alternatively you can purchase an annual pass. Multi day and single day passes can be purchased from Jindabyne in the Snowy Region Visitors Centre, or at the National Parks gates as you pass through. Annual passes can be purchased from Jindabyne in the Snowy Region Visitors Centre or online.

Day Parking: There is free DAY PARKING ONLY available in the Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes car parks. Some accommodation providers have overnight car-parking on site - note that this may be at an additional charge.
