Things To Do: Perisher

Snow Tubing is a fantastic low-cost snow experience for visitors to Perisher in a fun, safe and organised environment. Conveniently located adjacent to the car park, Tube Town has specially groomed lanes allowing fun lovers and thrill-seekers of all ages to enjoy a high-speed ride down the slopes and a lift back to the top, on purpose built lifts. No skill is required, just the desire to have fun.

There is a designated tobogganing area located adjacent to the car park. The area is maintained by the Kosciuszko National Park and is free - just hire a toboggan and have fun!

Go behind the scenes with our groomers once the lifts close for the day to see the mountain in a whole new light! Experience what it's like to be behind the wheel of the machine that perfects the runs each night while you're normally sound asleep.

Ride in one of Perisher's $450,000 snow groomers on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 25 June to 24 September. A tour takes around an hour and takes place on Perisher's Front Valley. The groomer will pick you up from the front of the Perisher Valley Hotel at 4:30pm, jump in and take a ride as the groomer lays down the corduroy.

Bookings can be made through the Perisher Valley Ticket Office before 3pm on the day of the Tours.

When the sun goes down at the end of the day, normally it’s time to head home, but not at Perisher! Neon night skiing & boarding under lights at Perisher is an experience like no other. In the 2020 season, dress up in your best neon gear every Tuesday and Saturday night from 23 June through to 22 September!

Front Valley will undergo a quick groom and then you can ski & board under lights from 6:00pm-9:00pm on the Village Eight Express! The cost is $37 for adults and $20 for children, while children with a valid full day lift pass for that day can ski or board for free!

Perisher has an extensive network of groomed, undulating and sheltered trails that weave through the magical Snow Gums. Whether it's a peaceful glide or a heart-pumping challenge, it's your choice.

Come explore the hidden and secret places of Australia's largest Alpine National Park, Kosciuszko. Snow-shoeing is a perfect way to discover Australia's unique wilderness and wildlife, at your own pace, for as short or as long as you like.

Experience a landscape very different to Europe and North America, a place with no pine trees, only the gnarled twisted limbs and mottled orange and green trunks of the unique snow gums.

Snow-shoeing is as simple as one foot in front of the next and fitness is not an issue. Half day guided tours are available and these include light refreshments with a hot chocolate.
