Things To Do In Falls Creek

The action-packed, Night Show in the Village Bowl is an on-snow entertainment extravaganza.

Thursday nights come alive at Falls Creek during July and August with an exciting fireworks show in the Village Bowl, starting at 7:00pm. Pete the Dragon will be in attendance also!

Show Times: Thursday 7:00pm in July & August

How do I get there?

The Village Bowl is at the base of the Eagle and Summit Chairlifts – the “Broadway” and “Village Run” runs will take you straight there. If coming from the carpark, you can simply catch the free Gully Chairlift into the bowl or head up Falls Creek Rd (next to the ATS Terminal).

When the sun goes down the skiing and boarding doesn’t have to stop. Have a blast riding the trails around Gully and The Tube lifts after dark when we light up the Village Bowl. Wednesday and Saturday evenings from 5:00 pm to 8.00 pm.

Snow Tubing provides endless amounts of fun and excitement as you spin, bounce, bump and laugh your way downhill on a snow tube. Open daily from 11am to 6pm, our purpose built Snow Tube Park in the Village Bowl provides fun for the whole family after dark or whilst having a break from the slopes.

Who doesn't love some great fun sliding in the snow? Tobogganing is cheap, easy for all and gives the unique thrill of racing down a hill on snow. Falls Creek features two toboggan slopes - a junior slope in the Village Bowl (open selected dates) and an advanced slope at Windy Corner where there is easy day parking and a free shuttle service from the village. The slopes are free to access, all you need is an approved toboggan. Toboggans are able to be rented from Falls Creek Cross Country in Windy Corner, Koki in the Village and Falls Creek Sports in both the Village Bowl and Slalom Plaza at the prices below.

If you can walk you can snowshoe - it’s easy & fun! We’ll guide you through ancient alpine forests and safely beyond the fringes of Falls Creek to explore our winter wonderland. Available Thursdays 1:30 pm to 4.00 pm

Fat Biking is the newest trend in both mountain biking and snowsports, combining the two with a specialised bike that is perfect for riding on snowy trails. There are a number of dedicated dual use trails for Fat Biking and Snowshoeing which are available for access by visitors. A limited number of fat bikes are available for rental through Snowrider Rentals (Falls Creek Hotel) which can be pre-booked or rented on the day. Please note Fat Bikes are not permitted to be ridden within the village or on any trail not stipluated on the Snowshoe / Fat bike Trail map.

Snowmobile Tours provide you with an exhilarating experience to explore the vast back-country areas of Falls Creek, while taking in the stunning alpine surroundings and spectacular views. You can choose to drive the snowmobile yourself, or sit back and enjoy the views as a passenger (one passenger per driver).

Tours take in the magnificent views of Mt McKay, The Summit, Frying Pan Spur, Ruined Castle and the very windy Road 24, which runs down the back side of the Summit allowing tours to go as low down as Howman’s Gap (tour routes change regularly depending on weather and snow conditions).

Please note a current Drivers Licence is required.
