Japan Ski and Snow Packages
Japan has some of the best skiing and snowboarding to be found anywhere in the world. Nagano, in the Japan Alps, played host to the 1998 Winter Olympics, whilst Niseko, on Japan's northern-most island of Hokkaido, is reputed to have some of the best powder snow on the face of the planet. We can now offer you the opportunity to enjoy a truly unique winter sports holiday.
Located on the northern island of Japan, Niseko is regarded as the main ski resort in the region. Annually it receives over an incredible 11 metres of snow. With this, Niseko can offer a wide variety of runs for every skier and boarder at every level of ability. With the ski lifts generally open until 8:30 each night, you can be sure that Niseko will still leave you craving more.
Rusutsu is generally regarded as being Japan's next big name in skiing resorts. Currently with its quieter lift queues you have quick access to some long and challenging runs. Aside from skiing, Rusutsu offers a host of other on snow activities to keep the family happy. With dog sledding, snowmobiling and snowtubing both kids and big kids alike will have plenty to keep them amused at Rusutsu.
Situated on Japan's northern island in the middle of a national park, Furano receives light, dry powder snow each year - over 8 metres of it. What Furano lacks in night life it does make up for in a host of other activities which include scenic onsens, arts and crafts, cheese factories and wineries. For the skier or boarder who is obsessed with snow and wants a splash of culture, Furano has alot to offer.
Located about 4 hours north-west of Tokyo, Hakuba is the base for 7 international resorts, all accessible via shuttle bus from the village of Hakuba. With well over its fair share of snow, Hakuba also has a plethora of rich mineral hot springs ready to rejuvenate you after a day of mountain activities. With plenty of cultural activities, snow monkeys and intense local flavours Hakuba is there waiting just one flight away from most cities.
Shiga Kogen is another Japanese ski resort situated within a national park approximately 4 hours from Tokyo. Shiga Kogen is easily the largest ski area in Japan - it boasts over 20 ski resorts that are interlinked both by lifts and shuttle bus. With the diverse terrain over many ski resorts, both skiers and boarders alike will find Shiga Kogen has something to both match and challenge them.
