Charlotte Pass is Australia's highest Alpine village at 1760 metres above sea level and is blanketed with snow for most of the winter months.

No cars or buses are permitted past the gates at Perisher making Charlotte Pass a true alpine experience. Skiers & snowboarders will enjoy the un-crowded runs and the absence of long queues for the ski lifts

Driving to Charlotte Pass:

Charlotte Pass Ski Resort is situated in the Snowy Mountains NSW with views of Kosciuszko and the main range. Located 8kms past Perisher Valley, Charlotte Pass Ski Resort is completely snowbound during winter with access only by oversnow transport.

During the Summer, the road to Charlotte Pass resort is open. Simply follow the Kosciuszko Road out of Jindabyne towards Perisher Valley and then continue on past Perisher towards Charlotte Pass.

In the Winter all guests must take the Ski Tube from bullocks flat as there is no long term parking at Perisher Valley. From the Ski Tube terminal guest's can then head to the Charlotte Pass oversnow kiosk located inside the building.  Oversnow transport provided is comfortable and warm and can be booked as part of your package, if you are not booking as a package we strongly recommend pre-booking your transfer.


There is no overnight parking at Perisher Valley, free day parking is available at Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes and Guthega for day trippers. There is also limited overnight parking at Guthega and Smiggin Holes for guests staying there.

Overnight parking is  available at Bullocks Flat Skitube terminal along The Alpine Way.

A free shuttle bus operates daily between Perisher and Smiggin Holes between 7:30am and 6pm (extended for night skiing).

Some lodges, hotels and self contained properties may have limited on site parking. Please check with your consultant for details.

Coach Transfers:

Never been to the snow? We've provided you with directions from both Sydney and Melbourne. If you are not coming from that way follow the link closest to your directions and you can alter the starting point for your own personal directions to Perisher. Coach transfers are also available.

The Snoexpress coach service provides fast and affordable coach & bus transfers from Canberra to the NSW ski fields including Perisher, Thredbo and the Jindabyne gateway. This shuttle transfer alleviates the need for the Perisher ski tube as the coach conveniently drops passengers at the main car parks in Perisher, Smiggins and Ski Rider. The service also runs all the way up to the Thredbo Information Centre and Friday Flat opposite the River Inn.

The Snoexpress service runs on Sundays and Fridays throughout the season.

Flying to the Snowy Mountains

Regional Express (Rex) will commence services between Sydney and the Snowy Mountains (Cooma) from Wednesday 23 March 2016, with five return services per week commencing from Monday 28 March 2016.

Regional Express (Rex) will have additional winter services between Sydney and the Snowy Mountains (Cooma) between 10 June 2016 and 2 October 2016, with additional services on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.

The year round flight schedule of five return weekly services provides 340 weekly seats, which will increase to 612 weekly seats from the June long weekend, and then 816 weekly seats during the peak season from the beginning of July through until the October long weekend.


Snowshoe Tours

For a fun and different way to experience Charlotte Pass and the Snowy Mountains, try a Snowshoe Tour. Lunchtime Tour – 2½ hours Enjoy a picnic lunch at the top of Australia whilst your snowshoe guide shows you some of the best views the Snowy Mountains has to offer.

Race Course

Brush up on your racing skills for Interschools or the Standard Race. We offer a dedicated race course for you to practice those turns on. with 10 large and 10 small gates on offer, there's something for every level of skier or boarder.

Groomer Tours

Ever wondered what it takes to groom the runs at Charlotte Pass Ski Resort? Our Groomer tours allow a limited number of guests to ride in one of our Groomers and learn more about this unique process. Lasting just over an hour, our staff will explain the steps they follow to make the mountain look so fantastic each and every day.

Mount Stilwell Snow Experience

This unique experience allows you the very first tracks of the day, in a section of the resort that is generally untouched by skiers.
Our Pisten Bully Oversnow Vehicle will pick you up at the front of the Kosciuszko Chalet Hotel and make its way up the driveway and around ‘Top of the World’ ski run towards Mount Stilwell. Watch the sun rise over the main range along the way, then take that first run down Mount Stilwell in time for the opening of the resort’s lifts. This is an experience not to be missed!
